Welcome to our site!
On May 25, 2013, Tucson participated in the extremely successful worldwide March Against Monsanto to raise awareness about the risks and dangers of genetically modified foods to an all-time high in our community and throughout the world, and there was a huge turnout! View our photo gallery of the event and read our Director of Education Melissa Diane Smith’s speech before the march.
Watch the segment on Genetically Modified Organisms and how to shop non-GMO featuring Melissa that ran on KVOA Channel 4 in April 2013
Are You Ready to Eat GMO Free? There is no better time than right now to take the Eat GMO Free Challenge, which gives 31 step-by-step tips on how to avoid genetically engineered food. By following the tips, you will protect your health from unknown risks of GMOs and also contribute to a collective movement to create positive change in our food system.
We advocate for mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food. Tucson, Southern Arizona, California, and all of America have a right to know what we’re eating. Demand labeling now and avoid Genetically Modified foods as much as possible. Buy Organic and Buy Local!
The Tucson chapter of the Institute for Responsible Technology’s national Tipping Point Network has joined forces with the GMO Free Project of Tucson to combine resources in leading the non-GMO movement in Tucson. Check our Events page for details of upcoming events to keep educating people and spreading awareness of the GMO problem to others in our local and global community.
