Why it matters: There are currently no requirements for genetically engineered food to be labeled in any way. It is imperative that consumers are given the information of what they are eating and have the right to choose GMO free food. Biotech companies and the government do not want you to know what you are eating; do not allow them to continue this deception.
Petition to get Michael R. Taylor removed as Director of Food Safety
Why it matters: Michael R. Taylor was legal counsel for Monsanto before being appointed to head the FDA and working to approve GMOs with GRAS status (Generally Recognized as Safe). This allowed biotech companies like his ex-employer Monsanto to rush GM seed to market with no testing and no labeling.
